Children who could not afford treatment. Borders crossed. Lives changed. A film built to carry the full weight of that.
The Fortis Hands of Hope initiative brought patients with congenital defects from Afghanistan, Iraq, and beyond to India for treatment they could not have accessed any other way. Green Bamboo Pictures was asked to tell those stories honestly, with the human connection at the centre and the institution in the background where it belongs.
GBP conceived, wrote, and produced a narrative film series that followed individual patients and their journeys, documenting the medical work alongside the human story surrounding it. The experience of the patient and their family came first. Every time. That choice is what gives the work its weight.
Some stories resist easy telling. These deserved someone willing to try anyway.
